Description: This talk traces my journey from a near-fatal health crisis and a medically induced coma to nine years of sobriety and transformative leadership. Through three principles that sustained my recovery – take a breath, shift your perspective, and practice radical self-honesty- I show how the tools that save our lives can also reshape the way we lead, connect, and rebuild trust.

Fun Fact: I arrived in Fargo, North Dakota, in January 2001, for a post doctoral position. While the research was compelling, I actually said yes because of my sentimentality and love of John Wayne western movies. I was in the wild, wild West!
